    D programming language

    Vb.net is a language which was released in 2001 and beacme very popular. why D has not become popular as it was released in 2000?

    I messed about with it a couple of times. And never really liked it. It has no backwards compatibility with C or C++ what so ever. It basically starts off on a clean slate.

    Its some language created by a team called Digital Mars. It ain't very popular most recent version was released earlier this year. But it disregards way to many C/C++ concepts for it to even be considered by a programmer.

    D Programming - WikiPedia Some examples there and some information on the language.

    I would recommend languages like Factor, Ruby and Python over it any time

    Thats the official site they developed some other relevant components for the C++ language which includes a compiler too.
