    BlackBerry Plug-In

    Hi all,
Has anyone played with this yet? I love my BlackBerry and wanted to see if anyone had any comments on this plug-in yet.
    Any and all are welcome.

Haven't seen that before, but now that I have, let me ask YOU a question about your BlackBerry:

    How's the battery life?

I looked through several different PDA phones with a Windows mobile OS because I wanted to combine phone and some programs. None of them really impressed me for one reason or another, but the one constant was that battery life was pretty poor if you were doing much with them. I never looked at the BlackBerry, though.

    Re: BlackBerry Plug-In

I've had my Pearl for about 10 months now and can't really complain about the battery life. Even when I first got it and really abused it, the battery life wasn't too bad.

However, I do charge it every day so I guess that I'm not that concerned about the battery life. I generally keep it plugged in at work. On the weekends though, I never charge it at home and by the time I get back to work on Monday, I still have ~25% left.
I would call myself a moderate email/web user and a light phone user. I can say that I have noticed that if I spend a lot of time on calls, then the battery really suffers. The phone really eats it up.

I did see one post on a BlackBerry forum that I visit where a guy was complaining that the battery didn't last 15 days on standby like his old cell phone. Why do you need it to last 15 days!? If it can make it one full day, then I'm fine. So it that context, the battery is great.

I've had nothing but a great experience with my Pearl up to this point. I would definitely recommend it!

    Blackberry 8310
Battery life - great if you use only the email/sms.
As soon as you try browsing you get dial up or worse sppeds, disconnections (with the network I am with) and a battery life that is approx 4 hrs... It eats the battery to talk online...

I haven't checked out about trying to program for/on the blackberyy - think it is probably difficult and there doesn't appear to be many resources online (via google searches).

Note: to deploy BlackBerry® MDS Runtime applications, BlackBerry Enterprise Server v4.1 is required with BlackBerry MDS Services enabled. BlackBerry MDS Runtime must also be deployed to the BlackBerry smartphone.
The above is somewhat off putting tho...
