Using Crystal Reports in VB6.0

Im currently developing a tracking system program using vb, and i need an inventory report for it. this is how the program runs, for every transaction there is specied date of months for the customer to pay for the contracted amount, or simply monthly installment. how to get the sum of payments to be collected for the current month or get the whole year forecast using crystal reports?
