Hi Guys,

This is absolutely a non vb question, still I am posting it because, there are people from different areas visit here.

Okie..this is my problem. My video cd is of size 705 MB (movie1.dat). But the writable cd's come only with 640 MB.

All I need to know is whether there is any software which i can download freely. The software should be capable of splitting the whole movie into frames. I will remove off the unnecessary frames and I should be able to save the rest in the sane *.dat format.

Any suggestions?? :)

Any help will be really appreciated.

How about just getting an 80 minute CD? I think they hold a little over 700 Mb :)

They cost a little extra, but not much

Most CDs are 74 mins. They also hold 640 Mb.

Thus an 80 mins CD will hold 80/74 times what a 74 mins CD will hold.

640*80/74 = 691.8919 Which is approximately 690. So it won't hold 700 Mb, only 690 Mb.

I'm sorry, that was my only idea. I don't do video :(

I think there's a program called vcdcutter that you can use. I'm not sure if it's free or shareware. Try searching for it on the web.

I hope this helps you...
