Virus Checker, detect when a file has been opened in windows

Im writing a virus checker type program and i need to know when any file has been opened in windows.

I'm guessing this would be an API call to find this out, probably using some kind of hook procedure.

I have a C program from kedaman which detect's any type of access to a file. I am in the proccess of writing a DLL for it so it can be used in Visual Basic.

Anyway, it doesn't matter any more
