I have a Crystal Report in which I have 2 subreports embedded in it. The subreports are printed in the 2 separate footer sections of the main report.

Each subreport contains headings and a detail line. In my main report I have each footer section "Suppress Blank Section" turned on. However, the subreports print even if there is no detail data. Is this happening because there are Headers within each subreport? Bottom line is...I can't get the Suppression of the subreports to work if there is no data in them.

Thanks,

Do not bump your threads - see here for the reasons.

Is this happening because there are Headers within each subreport? I would assume all subreport sections must be blank in order to suppress a Subreport.

Crystal 9 introduced a new option called Suppress Blank Subreport. This link might help.

Bruce,

That's exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks a million!

Bruce,

I just noticed something while testing my report. The report works as it's supposed to (suppressing the subreports when there is not data). However, when a subreport is printed for the first time, it appears that each subreport after the initial one won't collapse even when there is no data.
