Re: What is your maximum hearing range?
There's too much sensitive equipment in here for me to try... but last test I took, I could hear up through about 22Khz.. one of two people in the class that could.

Re: What is your maximum hearing range?
Isnt there like...a maximum frequency for headphones/speakers aswell? If so, then I blame my headphones for not being able to play 22kHz sounds

Re: What is your maximum hearing range?
Apparently I haven't damaged my ears as much as I thought: 21.1kHz!
You are a dog
Or maybe you are a mosquito, you certainly can't be human.

How dare you!!
In 2005 I was about 10 feet away from the F1 cars (exit of Club corner at Silverstone) for about 3 hours over the weekend, without earplugs.. bearing in mind that you can hear these cars from literally miles away, that's not the best idea!
One of my friends (who was wearing ear plugs throughout) still had ringing in his ears nearly a week later.
How am I not deaf?

Obviously, the tires were squealing away at greater than 21 kHz.

Of course, this is with the wind and when I'm wearing my hearing aid.

Re: What is your maximum hearing range?
Wow that's really scientific that is.
I can hear all the way up to 19.9 on my laptop speakers but only to 15.8 on my cheap external speakers. Neither set is any good at decent music reproduction.
Nobody will get even vaguely accurate results from this.
I don't live here any more.

I actually managed to get up to 22.4 - I could hear the clicking at the beginning and at the end

There's no point doing surveys unless they are accurate. I'm frankly amazed that such a luminary as Mendhak brought this survey to our attention at all.

Re: What is your maximum hearing range?
This test is silly and frivolous. Using my headphones, I could hear all of them extremely well except the last one, which, surprise surprise, is blank.

Congratulations, Science H. Logic triumphs again!

Re: What is your maximum hearing range?
Looks like Atheist was right, I could hear 21.1kHz on my speakers at home.
Logically, I shouldn't be able to hear it, since I am over 20 years old.
Which leads to the question, are these audio clips playing at the frequency that they claim they are?

Re: What is your maximum hearing range?
No idea how high I can go -- frequency response of my headphones peaks around 20kHz.

If I turn the volume down low enough, I can't hear any of them.
