We got 8" about a month ago (about an hour from the NC coast) and I swear people thought it was the apocalypse!

I'm in Central New York, they say we're supposed to catch part of that same storm today but right now the sun is out
People who love snow and cold have a thing for pain.
I have never seen the sense in moving down a tree covered
slope, at 60 mph, with a pair of barrel staves on your feet.

this guy obviusly never played in snow before.....
Please, I lived in Minneapolis for 4 years, was on duty in
Alaska for 6 months (Nov - May), and my wife dragged me to
Lassen for 3 years in a row.
I've been in snow.

Steve & Nukemm-
I am from Northern New Jersey too. We got 18" of snow and because of drifts, most of my front yard is covered by 3 feet of snow. My back is killing me and I am happy to be back at work (I had cabin-fever).
Have a good new year!

Just to make it clear - *REALLY SNOWY* in London meant 2" that laid on the ground for three days! My gas bill has shot up.

We snowblowed a 6 foot drift away from our driveway this weekend. We have had several feet of snow on the ground since Thanksgiving and for the last couple weeks, the temp hasn't gotten above 0. And that doesn't include the daily windchill which has been putting us down to -60 on and off since Thanksgiving. This week we are actually supposed to get up to 30. We'll be putting our shorts on for this!

Personally i think John should spot us all a one-way ticket to the Bahamas, but that's just my opinion.
