    Using a VNC might be easier. Of course, for any WAN access to a computer on a LAN, VNC or RDC, you'll have to use either a VPN of some sort or have the applicable ports forwarded to the computer on the LAN.
    The most difficult part of developing a program is understanding the problem.
    The second most difficult part is deciding how you're going to solve the problem.
    Actually writing the program (translating your solution into some computer language) is the easiest part.

    it works exactly the same over a network as it does over the web, however the computer you are connecting to must have the correct ports forwarded to it see http://www.portforward.com for details
