getting records from a web page

Help. I am new to vb script not vb and to asp. There is a web page that displays what I assume to be a recordset when a particular parameter is passed. I want to collect this information daily and post it to my database. How do I go about making function calls from my vb project to this website? Just some generic info to get me started would be super!
