    Why can't I use IMG tags for images hosted somewhere else other than VBF??

    Many sites don't allow images on their servers to be shown anywhere other than their own pages.. so you need to host images on sites that do allow it (or attach them here).

    You linked to the ImageShack page, not the actual image. When you upload an image, copy and paste the "Direct Link".
