setting up an FTP connection to a server
Hello,
I am having problems tryin' to connect to my own server-space.
This server supports ftp, so i want to put that in my program.
The program has to do the following:
- connect to the server
- download a file (if it doesn't exist, create it)
- update the file
- reupload the file to the server
- close connection
This all has to be done with one press on a button, it has to work in the background, and if it's completed a messagebox should appear.
The servername, username and the pass are already in it, so it doesnt have to get them out of textboxes or anytin'
I've tried implementing a library, which should be very easy, but i couldn't get it working.
Is there anyone who knows how to do this?
A friend told me to learn programming winsock and then raw ftp, but i can't find anything relevant for me....
Thnx...
