quick question

if a guy knows nothing about me, except for my aol screen name, can he find out my ip address useing unix? can a guy creat a program to over clock my cpu with out haveing to pull any jumpers on my mother board or anything? And if a guy were to do that, could it not be erased if i turned off my computer and pulled the batery on the mother board? Could that batery be disabled also useing a program? Some body on aim treatened me with this, and he was dumb enough to give me his ip address. Any ideas or sudgestions on what to do, or defend myself?

Err, let me clarify that answer, not he can't make your battery turn off, he MIGHT be able to get your IP address, but he can't overclock your processor without changing some settings on the motherboard.
Why in the world would he give you his IP?!
If you want to be really mean, ping flood him or nuke him, just search for programs to do it on the internet.
