In a maths program I have written I want to be able to print a square root symbol. I have a HP Deskjet 990Cxi.

I didn't think it would be possible but this week I had a 'printer runaway' - where it printed pages of space and some garbage.

Among the garbage there was... a square root sign!

If it really is in there - how can I get it out using VB code?

Use Chr(214) in Font "Symbol"

Thanks Opus. I can't think why I didn't think of that. :)

I guess it wasn't as easy as pulling Excalibur out of the stone!
