I am using Crystal Report 8.
My first answer is always to search the VB Forums for 'Crystal Reports', there are lots of code examples available.
Two threads you may want to look at are the following:

If you are using VB6 then Crystal Reports does not install when you install VB. You need to install it seperately. It is on the disk under Tools/Common if memory serves me. That is probably why you can't find it in your references as they only reference items that are included in the installs.

Crystal reports does not ship with VB6!
If you have CR 8.0 installed, then you MUST have the 'Developer edition' and it will then be available as a vomponent addin.
Try using the VB6 Data Report addin which it now ships with!
Sorry........

Crystal reports does ship with VB6 . It just isn't automatically installed. It is on the disk. Put your disk in and Search for the Crystal..it is there..least on mine.
