How can I close a running process/file?

Please can anybody tell me which api functions i should use to terminate a running file (*.exe)????????????

You can use Sendmessage
SendMessage(ApphWnd, WM_SYSCOMMAND, SC_CLOSE, 0&)

if you don't know the hWnd of the app's main window
you will find the code in this thread:

Use this code to close the application by knowing it's exe path.
