Ok got two weeks off over the xmas break, well will try to take them anyway but will no doubt end up back at work suffering some crisis.

But have one week set aside to take part in a programming competition run by our local ACS chapter. Basically ya take along your laptop get given a problem and bash out a solution. Wish me luck on that one, last year Phantom took part and had to calculate the fuel requirements of a mission to friggin mars.

The other week is to get my new PC up and running...hehehehehe...l don't think my wife realises that xmas presents brought with a credit card indicate shop of purchase. Ah yes, simply phone call and have all the machine's specs.

And of course in between have to take Rob to the movies a few times, Chicken Run etc etc etc, Nintendo theme place, and the local Reptile park.

Is this Geek central or what. Know if only l can score a PS2 will be happy.

There was an ad in the PennySaver this week for a PS2 for only $750...I think I can wait until the price drops a little!

....if you are using pirated games you have to dick around to get them up and running on the PS2. Not that l have pirated games of course, this is the currently word on the street.

Yeap my wife rushes out and buys a PC, a month before the Intel Pentium IV 2000 mgh chip is going on sale.

*Cracks his knuckles* Looks like there's gonna be some chipping business coming my way when the PSX2 chips become available :) I haven't seen any yet, anybody know if you can get them yet? (and if so, where?)

They're like gold dust over here too. Doubt I'll be able to get one at a reasonable price for at least 3 months, and I'll probably wait 6 for the prices to come down some.
