Help needed

Hi All

Many moons ago i was a programmer (on mainframes )

I now run a small company in sports sponsorship and am looking for some help.

I need some small and quick software developed, not too tricky but i'm sure very interesting to a developer.

The project involves using an SDK for some very advanced software (used in USA Defense )

The application i need has no decisions as to which language it should be written in, thought VB or similar would be best. It needs to stitch together bits of C++ via api's and present it in a user friendly GUI.

Results from the C++ components need to be stored in a database, just thought SQL or mysql, or even access would do, as nothing to special needs to be done to it.

I dont beleive the application build will be very difficult, nor take too long.

Need a very quick start, looking for a contractor, student or enthusiastic developer, naturally i can pay, but i'm not rich

I'm located inside the M25 in Kent.

Anyone interested ?, or know someone who might be able to help ?

All the best and thanks

Steve

Re: Help needed

Send me a private message here on the forums (posting email addresses in public is a bad idea). I regularly write VB6 GUIs for Access (and other) databases.

Once you give me more details (I have no problem signing a non-disclosure agreement), I can give you a pretty good estimate on time and price. The only delay might be in paperwork going between England and the US.
The most difficult part of developing a program is understanding the problem.
The second most difficult part is deciding how you're going to solve the problem.
Actually writing the program (translating your solution into some computer language) is the easiest part.

Please indent your code and use tags around it to make it easier to read.
