We want to put a VB6 app on our site so that potential customers can download and run it. We don't want to spend the bucks for a professional tool. So, we used the packaging wizard to create 3 files: a LST, CAB and EXE file.
Using FrontPage, we uploaded the files and set up hyperlinks to each file. When a user clicks on the Setup.LST file, however, his browser shows the file contents. On the other 2 files (the CAB and EXE files), the user is presented with the typical download screen.
How can we set it up so that the user can download the LST file, as well?
Help! and thanks.

Your best solution is to create a self extracting archive with all three files in it. There are programs available that will extract files and run a setup once extracted, that would be what you need and would look the most professional.

Thanks, Monte -
This is a program we wrote for a local charity, so no one has much avail in the way of funds. Are there any decent freeware programs out there that will work?
