Sanskrit is the written version of an ancient Indian
language. The actual sounds of the language are totally
unknown....we have only the written. Sanskrit is believed
by many to be the first (and only) truly holy language.

Attic Greek was the Greek spoken prior to the heyday of the
Athens and Sparta. It dates to around the time of Homer
(900BC ???) and the Trojan War. No one knows the
pronounciation of it either. It is known, however, that it
differed from the current Greek pronounciation, known as
Koine.

for which religion? or people (do the exist today?)

Dec 14th, 2000, 09:25 AM
Ask Honeybee. Do a web search on Sanskrit. Learn how to
divide by 0.

kovan
Dec 14th, 2000, 09:29 AM
web search is good

as far as asking honeybeen, NO WAY
he will bite my leg off

dividing by zero is not possible

Dec 14th, 2000, 09:39 AM
Sorry, Honeybee, but linguistics experts believe that the
current pronounciations are different from the
pronounciations of the original. Something about the
dipthong changes.

I'm quite well versed in world history, but being a prat is more fun when you don't have to be serious
