Hi
i was wounder how Gamers draw their 3D graphics?
i have downloaded a few examples of 3D worlds and 3D text using DirectX, but one of the examples had 3D text in a 3D room like area which you could walk around in it. The text was loaded from another file. This file contained all of the possitions at which to draw. I was woundering what sort of program would be used for draw such things? surely it woundn't be done all by code in VB

thanx

...you have a good modeling program like 3D Studio MAX, it would be very hard (just so you know how it would be like, you'd need Notepad and you'd have to write the coordinates of each point of all the solids' faces!).

Hehe, it remembers me the good old times when that was the only way to make Quake maps ;)

Hey, I know of a FREE, small, yet very well written program that was designed for that. I found it once at http://www.planet-source-code.com , but can't remember the exact address (it contains a number with 9 digits :p ). You'll have to search in the VB section.
