It works fine and its not a white square but the [code] tag button.
Its probably because your using FireFox. :D

It might look better if it had a transparent background like the vbcode image.

Me too but if youre just talking about the background then at least it does work correctly for you in FF?

Works for me in Firefox, It's just a different image anyway. It used to be a # symbol if I remember correctly.

Yes, it was changed recently to make it more understandable for new members.

The background was suppose to be transparent. Obviously it isn't. Regardless, it is more understandable than the '#' button. :)
If you are still seeing the # button, then you might want to clear your local cache of temporary files.
