Hi guys.I am Daniel from Ethiopia. I am new to this site.I developed a DBMS using VB 6.0 for some agency and when i try to install the setup program for this application, i get the following error message:
" Cannot start main setup program ( Create proces returned error code 0 x 000000C1H) "
Can any one tell me what might have caused this problem?
And before installing the setup program for the application i have developed, i formatted the PC because i tried the same set up program to install it before i formatted the PC and it worked. The only problem back then was that after it was successfully installed,, when i tried to login in to the program( becuase it has a login form), it displayed,
" Disk or Network Error"
I would relly appreciate if any body would help me out.
ASAP.

For one your tpoic heading should be better if you expect help. Heading like that don't get read that often. it's uninformative. Everyone who post in the forum needs help... you are no different.
You need to give more background on your problem if you want help.
What are you using to deploy your app?
How are you deploying it?
What DBMS are you using?
Etc, etc...
The more details the better the help can be...

[B]You are right.I should have been more discriptive.I needed a reply so fast and the best heading i could have came up with was the one i have written.I promise to make my next heading more discriptive. And thanks for the comment.
To answer your questions,
I am using the Package and Deployment wizard of VB 6.0.
The DBMS i am using is MS Access 2003.
I don't understand ur second question well. But i will try to give u the highlight of the process i am using.
First i have the compiled file saved in the same folder that contains all the files ( forms, database, ...) of my VB Project. Then, i click the PADW and browse the compiled file. Then i select the files that the PADW thinks are necessary for my application and proceed.( I am not well familiar with these lists and any help regarding these files would also be appreciated....lol).
Finally, as i have selected the setup's folder to be in a folder named Package ( which ofcourse is found with in the same folder holding my vb Project), i will simply open this folder and run the set up program.
And can u tell me if a compiled vb project works after u uninstall the VB program(sw) from ur computer? Thanks a lot .

It seems that you may not have all the dependencies that you need if your app worked before formatting.
You need to deploy the proper MDAC as well as other things in your setup application.
