OCX dependencies files

u don't have to compile any ocx file. tell me the specific text. i think the prob u are facing might be bcz of some informationb which setup program is needed is missing.

thanks for your answer. The message I get is in Italian, so I try to translate it.
"The dependencies files of the following components are not updated. It's advisable to exit from the Autocomposition Setup and run it again to compile again the dependencies files for these components. In order to ignore this message, click on 'Next'. However, the installation program and the
application could not work correctly. The files are:
COMDLG32.OCX
COMCTL32.OCX
COMCT232.OCX"
The versions of these files are respectively 6.00.8052, 5.01.4319 and 6.00.8022, while into the .dep files the versions are 5.1.43.19, 5.0.38.28 and 5.1.43.19. I try to modify them by hand, but it doesn't function. I work with VB5 SP3.

It looks to me as though your vb5 project is referencing some stray vb6 controls and the you don't have the .dep file for these omn your system

Hello Mark,
thanks for your answer. Do you think I can use the .dep of VB6 controls with VB5 ? If so, I could copy these .dep in my PC. The OCX I use (maybe VB6) don't give me any problems during the planning phase.
