but, speaking of how you met your other half...

My fiance and I met in sort of a strange way. I was a waitress at a restaurant at the time, and he was a cook. I was so disgusted with the people I had waited on one night, and just said that I needed to go home and have a drink to relax. Well, the manager of the store (which at the time was my fiance's roomate) declared that we all needed a drink, so there was going to be a party at his house after we closed. So, we all had one drink, and then another, and then another. Well, we all found ourselves playing tackle football in the living room. The next thing I noticed, Mike and I were the only two left playing. He pinned me on the floor in a tackle and we just sat there staring at each other. Well, since he wasn't making a move, I flipped him over and kissed him (the woman made the first move...). We've been together ever since.

I was playing the guitar and singing at a coffee house and my husband and his partner had a stand up comedy routine that went on after me. I was 21 but I didn't look that old and he was 32 so he didn't ask me out...I had to ask him out. We went out for a drink and ended up talking all night and have been in love ever since.

We met at the Berkely Student Union.

I was playing chess (badly) and she sat down to watch.
This big guy sat down opposite of her and started to
comments about how bad the game was (it was bad). I wasn't
about to take that in front of a pretty woman student, so I
told him if he didn't like the game he could move on (I had
been out of the Marines about 15 months at that time).

He lifted his foot (I SWEAR it was a size 17) and said "How
about I put this in the middle of your face?". I said to
myself, "Self, no woman alive is worth that!" and said "OK,
watch then".

She was impressed that I didn't have to defend my honor.
We went to the Orange Julius across the street and had
coffee. Shortly thereafter, she gave me her phone number
and left. Unfortunately, she didn't give me her name, and
I am aphasic on names.

Three days later, I checked my wallet and found 19 phone
numbers with no name. So I started calling. If a man
answered, I hung up. If a woman answered I asked "Guess
who this is?".

She was number 6. Turned out she wasn't a student either.
She was professor of mathematics.

You guys make me seem boring. We met in grade 11 (about 5 years ago now) and I asked her out and we'd been going out until we got married in June 2000... :)

We met at a party. She was sharing a flat with my brother's ex-flatmate. We had a long talk the next morning over breakfast while everyone else slept off their hangover's. I was smitten but we didn't end up going out for two and a half years and we married when I was 29 after ten years chasing... (she wasn't sure, still isn't, four kids later)

When I met my fiance, I had just broken off a 4 year on and off relationship, because I found out he had been cheating on me for the last 2 years. (I found out by surprising him by faking sick so I could leave a Christmas party and showed up to spend the night with him. Well, he was in bed with one of my (ex) friends)

I was not looking for a relationship what so ever when I met Mike, because I pretty much hated all men at the time. Mike made me laugh so much that I felt better when I was with him. He's kept making me laugh every since.

I don't normally have a mind like that, I'm just in one of those funny moods today, and can't help myself. next time it happens you have permission to come round a chop off all my fingers, so I can't do it any more (type that is ;)

Hum....heheh i never thought someone could start a stable relationship in gr11 i mean the longest i've seen in that age is about a year, im in gr12 and my longest relationship is about a week and a half....but i proly beat some records in how many i had lol way too many, lets just sayz that most of the time what happen is that i meet some chick at some party after maybe an hour we're making out and after a few days we realize we don't really like the other persons and we just stay friend lol soooo now im stick with a LOT of friends ^_* no but seriously sometimes i wish i would have a stable relationship like my friend, they've been going out for a year but my problem is that i usualy go out with ppl i don't know and when i get to know them most of them are really immature (well maybe that's cause i usualy go out with girls in gr9??) anywayz maybe i should just try to get to know them before but i dunno, when it doesn't happen fast im shy and stuff like that heheh oh well

Aparently, beings as this topic has split into 3 seperate threads, more than women were interested. So, if you don't like it, don't read it.
