conduction program
Develop a Fortran program to solve a 2D conduction problems.
Consider a long bar of square cross section (0.5 m to the side) and of thermal conductivity 10 W/m.K. Three of these sides are maintained at a uniform temperature of 220°C. The fourth side is exposed to a fluid at 50°C for which the convection heat transfer coefficient is 20 W/m2.K.
Using an appropriate numerical technique with a grid spacing of 0.2m, determine the midpoint temperature and heat transfer rate between the bar and the fluid per unit length of the bar.
Can anyone please help me in terms of the code, or steps in obtaining this solution. I'm really stuck in terms of creating the code for this. Apparently converting VB code to fortran is relatively easy.
So yeh if someone has some time, i could really do with the help. I need it in next couple of days. Cheers ppl.
CHEERS people.
