File unzipping from VB

Hi friends,
My two questions are(In VB 5.0):

1)Can i use ADO's in VB 5.0.
If yes, do i need to install MDAC on my computer (What version and service pack)
2)I Have a zip file called "postalcodes.zip" in the "C:" directory on my computer.
Can i know how to unzip the zip file "postalcodes.zip" using VB code.
The zip file has the file called "postalcodes.txt" which i need to access from the VB program.
