    Palm IIIx USB connection

My operating system automatically detects this device and I have no problems with it whatsoever.
    I use VB 6, VB.Net 2003 and Office 2010

    Code:
Excel Graphing | Excel Timer | Excel Tips and Tricks | Add controls in Office | Data tables in Excel | Gaussian random number distribution (VB6/VBA,VB.Net) | Coordinates, Vectors and 3D volumes

It's that time of the week again, hold your phone very very still. Infrared can be obstentiously irreverent at times.

Linux does a whole lot better at identifying USB devices than certain other operating systems I won't mention (Microsoft Windows). Thing is that a PalmIIIx is a serial port device and therefore is not autodetected when plugged into a USB-Serial adaptor (no OS in the world autodetects serial devices without pre-installed active drivers.

Monoptic, uhh, told me all this just now. Yeah, thats it.
I don't live here any more.
