Hi GUYS …
My problem is that I bought a new laptop with no built in serial port so I bought a usb to serial converter and I installed it and now I can change its settings using the device manager … I chose com1 for this converter but the problem is that vb6 does not communicate to pic mcu’s through this converter although there is no error message … I tried to establish communication loop using my vb6 application only by connecting sending and receiving lines together , but also I never received any response or even an error message … Would you please help me to diagnose the matter knowing that I tried another converter and the results was the same .
