    Is it possible to make a files attributes so they cant be changed? like if i want a file read only, but dont want someone changing it.

    Depends on what OS yóu're using. In NT it's pretty easy to deny people the right to modify a file and/or it's attribute. When you're using Win 9x it's not possible because Win9x provides no security at all.
