Hi,

I hear the word sprite used quite a lot. I know that its an image but why not just call it an image then? Is there something special about it or does it do something different?

Thanks

I think a sprite is a special typer of graphic used in game programming?

Sprites typically have behaviors associated with them (like movement) while images don't.
