Voluntary Project - TextNet
I am currently assembling a small team to work on a project called TextNet.
The idea of "TextNet" is to simulate an early BBS system in a Visual Basic 6 programmed Client and Server technology. TextNet acts as an easy accessable information database on anything the Server-Runners want.
More information can be found on what TextNet is and why TextNet is being created on the forums.
---------------------
I am currently looking for one, maybe two programmers to help in the project. I have one trainee programmer looking to the project as a learning curve and another good programmer doing small piecework for the project every now and again.
I will remain the lead programmer on the project organising everything from planning, to managment, ect...
To apply for the position please visit the development forums (here), sign up and visit the Application Center board.
Thanks, Brad Smith.

Re: Voluntary Project - TextNet
Take RBBS and port it to VB6.
The most difficult part of developing a program is understanding the problem.
The second most difficult part is deciding how you're going to solve the problem.
Actually writing the program (translating your solution into some computer language) is the easiest part.
Please indent your code and use tags around it to make it easier to read.

Re: Voluntary Project - TextNet
1. I've never actually heard of that before.
2. Just googled it, the project I'm working on is NOTHING like it.
3. Thanks for being so damn rude. I really love it when people take the time to point flaws in everyone else.
