Field Office Location: TYSONS

This position exists to develop, maintain, and implement business applications that support company business and technology plans. This position is expected to, in varying degrees, estimate, analyze, design, construct, test and implement in-house and purchased software applications.

This candidate must have excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills in a publishing environment. Will be supporting the publishing system includes creating and maintaining user IDs, testing and installing software upgrades, creating and maintaining user setups, as well as other maintenance issues. Will be responding to queries and support issues in the Newsroom. This position is also responsible for answering general help desk calls during the evening hours. This is a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment that requires quick thinking, and excellent technical and customer service skills.

Experience with, but not limited to, Microsoft XP, MAC OSX, Microsoft Office, UNIX, and Citrix Terminal Servers is required. Requires 1-3 years experience plus four-year college degree in related discipline. This position works Sunday through Thursday on a rotating shift. The hours are 12 PM-8PM, 2PM-10PM, and 6PM-2AM (except on Sunday where the early shift works 9AM – 5PM). Also includes weekend on-call duties once every eight weeks.
