Ok, so as most everyone does, I am making an online RPG. So far I've been trying to be the sole-coder while my friend works on story/various art but it is getting a bit much. It is a roughly text-based RPG with a lot more User Friendly take on things. It will not be completely text-based, as I think pictures representing avatar, zones and various other things help immersion.

Some things about the project reguarding myself:

-Built a working server/client Winsock with a working chat.
-Deep set up of characters, items, zones and spells (the framework)
-Good understanding of where I want this project to go, but am willing to listen and adjust to new ideas.
-Working Character creation/login
-Semi-complete engine (if you can call it that)

Some things about the game itself:

-We use several traditional fantasy races (orcs, humans, elves) but include a few very new races (ones we thought up ourselves, although probably not new to all fantasy stories)
-We plan for it to be RvRvR; that is, two sides of 4, and one side of 1. You may ask how this is done, but it works into our story as one race (the 1) believe they are the only ones worthy to worship/protect the Gods. ALSO, their "bases" are sky born, protecting them from being overpowered by the numbers.
-We plan to have world based PvP, meaning that a race or 'side' could claim more lands, thus earning rewards for the 'side'. Such rewards could be increased money, exp or reputation. We (me and my one friend) estimate several problems about domination or one-sided-ness, but we plan to ensure things are fair and if there IS a balance issue, we will fix it promptly.
-DEPTH OVER GLITTER (I made that up now, but it sounds catchy; what it means is I want this game to be deep and have cool things to do in it rather than awesome graphics/animation)

Some things I would like to see in project team members:
-Hardworking
-Passion for gaming
-Ability to get along

Lastly, I want to make sure you understand this project is FOR FUN. We cannot work on it many hours a day due to work, family, women (the bane of the nerd), etc. I also want to make sure you know this is NOT a paying job. I can promise you nothing in value because I will be gaining nothing as well.

THANKS!

Hi,
I have some time to work on your project with you. I have the following qualifications you requested:

"Some things I would like to see in project team members:
-Hardworking
-Passion for gaming
-Ability to get along"
-Will work for free

My goal is one to work on a gaming project to gain experience in the field of developing for games, two to continue to develop my programming skills, and three to follow my personal dream of working on gaming projects (sounds like two, but really is different).

Please PM me so we can exchange emails, and set up a time to talk. You can decide if you'd like me on your team, discuss your expectations and requirements, and platform.

Thanks!
