How do I set registry permissions in NT?

I know I've asked this before, but does anyone know how I set registry permissions in NT? I have an app that writes values to the registry, but it won't work in NT or Win 2000. I figure it is a permissions issue.

I allready tried this and i'm not sure if it is a permissions thing because i used some api to do this
i could create the keys but could not delete or update them
with those api Calls

but i saw i references that was able to do it
it's name is something like
Registry access functions or something...
