Hi everybody,

I have a computer that has some problems with the system time and date. It's runs windows 98 and is has no internet connection.

I am looking for a program or a piece of code that can run a parallel clock, that I can manually set to the correct time. From that point on it should correct the system time every once in a while. ( minute? )

The reason why I am looking for this, is that somehow every day the system time changes 2 hours. I would like an independant clock correcting it when this happens.

I know there are a lot of time correction programs when you search on google, but they all require internet connections because they use a different method ( checking a time server every once in a while ).

Does anybody have an idea?

Regards,

Chris

So, how do you expect to correct time with a broken clock???? How would it even know it is correct? All the programs you have seen use the internet to connect with a military clock to correct the time. Unless you have a clock like this on a seperate system you are blind and setting the time...

You can't run a software clock, it's physically impossible for software to regulate itself.

The problem is that whatever is causing the Win98 clock to run 2 hours off every day will do the same thing to the other clock you run. You need an external hardware clock that a program can read and set the computer to. An internet connection would be much easier, since the hardware is easily available.
