Rotate A Bitmap

I am putting a bitmap onto the screen, is there anyway that I rotate the bitmap for an angle, say 45 degree.

Hello,
if you want to write your own function, rotations of 45, 90 and so on are very simple, but for free rotations you need some more skills I don't have (and don't need yet) ;)

Anyway it depends on how you're drawing the picture, with DDraw u can make it very fast, otherwise I don't see any (acceptable slow) solution...
