We don't really have a non-programming forum where graphics requests would fit.
You could try your luck in Chit Chat (http://vbforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7), just remember to put [Serious] in your thread title, or it will get mauled to death by the pack of rabid Chit-Chatters.

Well, you suggest a close match then, because I couldn't find any.

My point is, don't put it in Chit Chat since we don't want to encourage technical discussions there.

How about just posting it in General PC since its a kind of catch all for computer related threads?

But it's not really a technical discussion. If I understood it correctly VE wants a graphic banner made for his Web site.
Maybe there is some other more suitable board for that within the JM network.

He needs a graphics designer, not a programmer. This site is full of programmers :)
He could try Flashkit.com (if he wants Flash in his design) or look for a graphics site. http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/ would be another forum to try.

I assume he wants a banner for his site and not a banner to use on this forum with his signature or something....

We couldn't have that ;)

ChitChat is a forum for Off-topic talk ... I would probably be better off trying it in the Graphics section

Marty, are you serious? Is it because you want appropriate topics to be available for future searchers in the right forum?

Marty, are you serious? Is it because you want appropriate topics to be available for future searchers in the right forum? That for one, and I've seen serious questions posted in Chit Chat that just got butchered. I remember one database question that someone had posted in Chit Chat after I moved it to the Database section I had to delete like 8 or 9 posts there were, ahem, shall we say, "off topic."

In my opinion, serious and somewhat technical, threads can and should be done in chit chat. If a thread is of a serious nature, then those in chit chat should respect it just as threads in any forum on this site should be respected.

Brad! Why? I don't think you want to see questions on C# being asked in the Classic VB forum so why would they be OK in Chit Chat?

I think if its semi serious technical topic then we need to evaluate it on a case by case basis and move it if needed. The CC threads do sometimes get serious with the [Serious] tag and respected welll but I think we shouldnt encourage posting serious technical topics in CC. Its just asking for trouble in CC and will not get included in search results if searching in the technical forums only.
