When using Word as your e-mail editor you might encounter the error "Interface Not Registered" when trying to send your e-mail. As a result you are unable to send it but you are able to send e-mail when setting Outlook as your e-mail editor. To solve this so you are able to use Word as your e-mail editor close all running Office applications. Then use Start-> Run and type;
Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll
This will correctly register the ole32.dll file in the registry.

I keep getting this error that says "No such interface supported" when I try and send an email where I go to the To: button and select someone from the list. I also get the error when I try to add an attachment. This problem only happens when I use Word as an editor. Other than that when I have it set in plain text, it works fine. I want to use Word and not plain text. Anyone know what to do?
Close all office applications and try the following.....
Start-> Run and type:
Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll

Re: Ahh I hate outlook
I tried re-registering ole32.dll and it didn't work. I just said forget it and reformatted my machine. Oh well..
Lotus Notes is by far the worst e-mail program I have ever seen. I feel bad for you...
If Outlook changes to anything like Lotus Notes, I will switch to something else. No question about it.

Do you remember seeing an activeX error pop up in there recently as well. There was an email circulating that tries to register an activeX control and the latest office service pack blows it up. I got an email from a client of mine and recieved an activeX error. After that I started getting the same error that you are getting every time I started word as an email editor. I do not remember the particular class ID of it but a quick google search should find it. You'll have to look for that class ID in the source of your inbound emails and delete the offending one. Then restart outlook and all should be good. Sorry, I c an't help more but it was 6 months and 100 other microsoft bugs ago.

Re: Ahh I hate outlook
As this thread is really about a problem requiring a resolution, I'm moving it to Office Development.
Perhaps some of the folks here, that do not visit Chit Chat, may have something to offer.

no, I haven't had an ActiveX error. It was probably the service pack. I reformatted so I'll update it again and see if anything screws up.
