The Package and Deployment Wizard
I'm using the Package and Deployment Wizard to create setup files for all my programs, because computer challenged people seem to like them better-er. But when I create the file, and then run the setup, it tells me to "Please insert Disc1."
Does anyone have any ideqa what this means? Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, but I am using the vb6 Package and Deployment Wizard.

Moved.
It's been a long time since I used the P&D Wizard but I think you chose the multiple- rather than single-disk option when you created the files.

Jabal,
Actually, it's the computer challenged people who attempt to avoid the setup (installer program) entirely...

Hm, I always thought that people were afraid of just placing files on their computer. The setups p[lace em for them :P

Re: The Package and Deployment Wizard
You could also try a different installer (like Inno Setup) if you are getting no joy.

Re: The Package and Deployment Wizard
Well, what I find to be ironic, is that I made the program in two seperate projects. One project is the Quiz Maker and one the Quiz Player. The Quiz Maker Setup creation works fine, but the Quiz Player is where I hit the problem. it says something about missing a .CAB file when I run the setup.

Re: The Package and Deployment Wizard
Did you check your folder for the .CAB file where you created the setup?

Re: The Package and Deployment Wizard
The WinRar achive file should be you .CAB file. What is the extention on the file?
As far as Inno Setup is concerned you can use ********** to make it simplier (free for thrre days). It will create the Inno Setup Script for you. You can also if you like use the output to correct your setup.lst file.
What is it you don't understand about Inno Setup??? This is the first time I have heard this question.

Re: The Package and Deployment Wizard
It has different fields than the PDW. If I gave you a link for the VB Project files, could/would you compile them for me so that they are placed in the C:\Program Files\Quiz Maker
And in the Program Files list they go under "Jabul's Quiz Game"?

Re: The Package and Deployment Wizard
Of course it would... It's a different package. I could look into that. Where are the files?
