I'm working with Visual Basic 5 for almost two years now. I started with Win95. Then I moved on to Win98 and last week I installed Win98 SE. Now I have to following problem: if I want to use a winsock control or common dialog control, ... on my form I get the error that I haven't got the right license to use the control. I never had this error. Can anyone explain me how this could have happened and how I can solve it? I also have Service Pack 3 installed.

Thanks Clunietp. It worked for every control except for the winsock control. Maybe you know another solution?

Windows 98 SE may upgrade some certain files that go from say 5.0 -> 6.0 or whatever. This sometimes means you can't use it in VB until your licence is updated.

The article says that the file will update the Winsock control on enterprise and pro for VB5.....I dunno...run it again i guess :)
