Re: [EVOLVED] What language is this?
The France reference was deliberate
Sure every country woud try to attack the US at once, then that would be called a Brute Force Attack?
I know we have to attack Iran as the rest of the world's countries have no backbone at all. We always have to lead the way, bail out countries with billions on dollars in aid, help protect countries (like kuwait when Sadam invaded. Short memory?), etc.
I would bet on us invaiding Iran and saving the world from their nuclear attacks but will the world be grateful? [sarcastic]But Noooooo! They only look at the surface of things. [/sarcastic]

Re: [DISSOLVED] What language is this?
Ah yes, the typical american excuse for a war... "They might try to hurt us one day, so we'll hit them now. Nobody will mind, and residents of the country we are attacking wont do anything nasty back to us.".
Is this a good time to bring up the phrase "friendly fire" (strangely, only ever used when americans are involved), and "abandoned hardware in a war zone" (when the yanks leave, leading to the deaths of many of the allied soldiers who remain).
Well what about Iran threatening to stop oil production? They are going to be hated by the world for that let alone their neculear weapons of mass destruction.
You mean "If you start a war with us, we'll attempt to defend ourselves rather than make more oil for you to take from us"?
Kinda makes sense to me, but hey, I'm not american.

Re: [DISSOLVED] What language is this?
The spelling of that word is getting worse and worse. Seems like this thread should either be moved to Wold Events, or to the GrammarLady.com site.
I believe that an objective observer would say that America will invade unless you have no oil or have nukes, or are a loyal puppy. Since Iran is not a loyal puppy, and has lots of oil, it needs nukes to go its own way. Of course, they will probably end up in the hands of somebody who wants to hurt the US, but at this point, the wheels are coming off anyways. America is too dependent on others. If those others decide not to play, we can't survive it for long. We owe too much, and we are too dependent on imports of all sorts. We can't afford to let important material supporters find another game to play.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

Maybe GrammarLady.com is NoteMes other website
I think I'll move it to WE if you guys want to continue on the global topic.
The US has the technology top run cars on vegetable oil, ethenaol 85, water, electricity, and a few other forms of energy. We have seen the popularity of Hybrids skyrocket over the past year so I have no doubt that we can dramatically reduce our foreign oil dependance very soon. Especially as the price of gas is expected to pass $4+ a gallon and not come down.
