Need beta testers (no pay) for testing out tabbed webbrowser
Hi. I have a tabbed webbrowser that I have customly built using visual basic.net and I would like some beta testers to test it out and give back some feedback. Here is the URL: http://www.freewebs.com/tegadigital/. Ignore the OS thing (I am still working on it). Well my web browser is called Xuastegui (bad name, if anyone can come up with a better name I am open to suggestions). The latest version is 3.6. Please give feedback upon testing the browser. Thanks.

ok, let me help here, the forward button on the browser for a start, the tooltip comes up "toolstripbutton7".
"colors" is spelt wrong :P, no really, the colours are a bit to strong, make the lighter.
getting a new tab up took me a while to find, make it a bit easier.
I think there is a textbox missing from beside "google images"
dont see much else yet, very nice project with some eexcellent features

oh yes, please release the latest, and I am only to happy to test stuff and criticise it, its what i do lol, I have no problems with the colours themselves I think you just need to set the trnansparency of them up a bit or make them a bit ligher in the first place
Please post back as to where I can get the newest version.

Sorry, it's been a long time since I visited the site, anyway I'm going to work on Xuastegui and hopefully have all the features and have it up and running at the end of this week. I will either PM or post here to let you know as soon as possible.

Re: Need beta testers (no pay) for testing out tabbed webbrowser
Ok, I like the browser a lot, but there are a few issues that I found:
-After You Change Colors, There Is No Way To Change Back To Default
-The "Homepage Setup" does not have a cancel button
-When I click a link that opens in a new window, it will open up IE, not a new tab
-Favorites and Homepage Do Not Import From Another Browser (In My Case, IE)
UPDATE:
-I get this error when I click navigate
VB Code:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
Those are the only things I really see wrong with it besides the things mentioned above.

Re: Need beta testers (no pay) for testing out tabbed webbrowser
Ok. Yes I know those features you mentioned aren't in the browser.
I am working on the changing colors back to the default. I have asked that question in the VB.NET forums of this website and I think I may be able to fix it. Second, I will add a homepage setup "cancel" button as you wish. Third, your computer's shell is set to IE opening up as the default browser. I will research up on topics such as changing the registry. Fourth, I am currently in the process of finding out how to import the settings. This is all I can do at the moment. Could you explain more about the JIT debugger? Oh and that navigate button's code, I found that error when I first put it up. The newest version has the code fixed (I think, I will double-check). Anything else and could you explain where to put the configuration code? Thanks in advance!
