My use of VB has typically been for HMI applications, and I have a HMI/db issue where I must use the VB frontend to populate a database. The db is existing and is seperated into various sheets etc. I have used VB to insert data into excel in the past, however, the db also has a number of graphs that my company wants to have displayed to the enduser.

How do I go about bringing in the specific graph into VB and configure the control so it will only display the data and have sequential graphs displayed in the same area using user operated cmd buttons? The graphs must be dynamic but uneditable to the enduser except through the data entry fields.

I have been trying with OLE objects and linking to the file in question with little success, any help or direction would be appriciated. *I would prefer to avoid MSChart.*
