Moved to General Developer.

CodeGuru is another Jupitermedia site that is definately worthy of exploring. They have a online newsletter to which you can subscribe if you would like.

In fact, JM offers a number of online newletters, not just the CodeGuru one.

Have a look here (http://nl.internet.com/profilepage.html?uid=f145e88433&eid=7191701) and check which ones you would like to receive.

www.vbforums.com and www.codeguru.com are the best sites for any developer.
You should move all other developer sites to 'restricted zone'. ;)

Brad, where is the $10 you promised ? :D

For VB, you may also want to look at a particular site in the jm network - FreeVBCode.Com It is basically like PSC, but the quality of posts there is far higher.

For anything else, see the list of sites on our "404" page: www.vbforums.com/djklfsdf

I second that, why are codeguru and VBF separate sites?

Each site has a different focus, here we are obviously more into VB, whereas CG is more biased towards C etc.

Until relatively recently VBF wasn't part of the jm network.. and neither were several other sites (such as DevX I think). Each site has its own style and 'supporters', so merging all the sites into one would alienate people (as well as making it harder to find what you are looking for!).

In CG's VB section they have a direct link to VBF. So when CG cant solve a VB problem they usually come over here and get the solution. :D VBF #1 :D

Look at their Chit Chat forum.

Look at ours.

Now you know ;)

On a more serious note, I agree with Si about PSC. Most of the code there is rubbish. You can pick up all sorts of bad techniques from the stuff people post there. I have not really seen much of freeVBCode.com but I have heard it is a lot better. Also the Codebank forums here generally have high quality stuff.

If your focused on any of the C formats of programming then its a great site, but for VB we are #1. :thumb:
