I've been looking for an answer to this for a long time now and still haven't quite found a good enough answer. Currently I'm trying to find a way to get my service installed and actually work.

I've found some things about using installutil.exe, but I'm not sure how that really works. When I start up the installutil console from the folder it's in it only flashes up the console briefly before going away. When I go to Start-->Run, and type in cmd, and then try to use installutil as a command, it says it's not recognised.

I added the express bit in the title because I'm not sure if using this particular edition meant a difference or not.

So, can anyone please tell me or link me to a guide that explains step-by-step on how to install and start a service that I created in VB2005 Express? Any help that pushes me further towards the answer is greatly appreciated.
