Unsubscribe from a thread

I posted once in that "Post race" and now everytime I come to VB-World forums I instantly get a note about new post in the post race.
Somebody, make it stop!

I posted one thing on something like that too...I'm still getting tons of email.

Try filtering that e-mail out.
Anything with the Subject "Blah Blah" goes to Trash.

Typical scenario at work :

sat at my desk, doing some work and getting bored of documentation.

Then - An e-mail ! Wow, must be interesting so stop all work and open up the mail -

"S**t, it's that f***ing post race again" reverberates around the office followed by one of those stunned silences as everyone turns and looks at the person who swore ( me ).

" sorry..."

Disappear to the coffee machine.

Edit your posts to the thread, and click off the email notification. :b Have tried this out on one thread and it appears to work.

Hehe, Megatron, did you notice, if you delete posts in either Feedback or Chit Chat forums, your posts go down? And everyone, well, almost everyone posted at least 10 things in there. So if CyberSurfer were to delete that, everyone would lose a lot of posts, lol. Everyone will lose posts, even if CyberSurfer deletes the thread.

Everyone be nice to CyberSurfer, you never know what he could do :rolleyes:.

I don't think John or James knows how to fix the problem either.

If a lot of people want the post race locked, I will do so, but for the aforementioned reasons I won't delete it.

I know how to fix the problem... and john is a MUCH better PHP programmer than me, so, that means he is being lazy :rolleyes:

all you have to do in the editpost.php page, is add a simple if statement....

if the forumid is not equal to 6 or 7 then decrease the users post count..

and thats it......
