Burning out sounds much more fun....at least you are accomplishing something along the way. I've seen several people just fade away...not a pretty sight.

Hmm, well I think I'd like to burn normally for a long time, then just as people start to think I'm fading, explode violently and cover any bystanders in multicoloured goo.

Perhaps I've been watching too much Starship Troopers.
