Hi,
I recently moved a fairly large VB6/Access '97 system over to VB6/Access 2000. Almost everything seems to work fine after I converted the database to an Access 2000 one except for the datacontrols. They generate an error that says:
'unrecognized database format database.mdb'
It even gives me this error when I fiddle with the recordsource property.... I can still view access reports using VB.
Help!!! Anyone encounter this before? I would appreciate some help so I can go to COMDEX with some piece of mind!
Thanks,
Roger

Hi.
This has been a pretty common question, use the forum search for other instances.
To bind a Data Control to Access 2000, you must use Jet 3.6 and you also must have Service Pack 4 installed. SP3 has the right version of Jet, but the Data Controls won't work with Access2k without SP4.
Adrian.
