Your thoughts on O/RMs

Is anyone of you using them? I would love to hear of your thoughts about them...

I have never been wild about things that generate code for me. Usually, I wind up spending almost as much time fixing what was generated as I would have if I'd done it from scratch myself.

I tend to agree although for simplistic things like mapping object properties to parameters for saving in a database, basic crud, etc it can save some time but its not an exact science in my experience.
